Kaizer Chiefs Current Form – DDDLW

Chiefs' appointment of Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze as co-coaches was the correct decision in many ways, as retaining familiar faces after the departure of Nasreddine Nabi meant training habits, match preparation routines, and player relationships weren’t completely reset. With the coaching duo in place, Amakhosi have remained competitive and a team on a mission.

The last five games before the break saw Chiefs fall off the pace and fail to capitalize on missed opportunities to claim valuable points. After the convincing victory over relegation-threatened Orbit College, Amakhosi turned their attention to continental football, losing to Al-Masry and sharing the points with Zamalek in back-to-back CAF Confederations Cup fixtures.

Returning to league action, Chiefs looked flat and lacked the cutting edge that saw them give away vital points in fixtures where they looked the better team. Against bottom side Chippa United, the Chillie Boys held them to a goalless draw and then ended their 2025 programme with another draw against TS Galaxy. After three consecutive draws, Ben Youssef and Kaze will be determined to make this time off count and reward themselves with a victory here against Arrows.

Key Players To Watch

  • Makabi Lilepo: When Lilepo is in full stride, defenders know they are in for a long afternoon. With his mix of strength, speed, and attacking intelligence, he always looks to make something happen. Whether providing or scoring, Lilepo remains a constant attacking threat for Chiefs.
  • Siphesihle Ndlovu: Ndlovu brings balance and a tireless work rate in the middle of the park. Strong in the challenge and relentless in his pressing, he wins possession and turns defence into attack. He sets the platform, allows the flair players to shine, and brings much-needed stability to Chiefs’ midfield.
  • Inacio Miguel: Miguel offers strength, composure, and authority in defence for Chiefs. Powerful in the air and fearless in the tackle, he wins crucial duels while keeping things simple when building from the back. He’s a commanding presence, and his leadership has become key for the Soweto giants.

Kaizer Chiefs Team News

Kaizer Chiefs have no major injury concerns and have a full-strength squad available heading into this fixture.

Golden Arrows Form – LLDLW

Golden Arrows made a bold move by appointing Manqoba Mngqithi as their head coach, marking his third stint with the Durban-based outfit, where he began his coaching journey. With his deep connection to the club, his return has fostered a positive environment for building trust and belief in the squad while enjoying bright patches, proving his ideas and style have had a growing impact.

In the last five games, wins have been hard to come by for Arrows, despite putting in strong performances. After tearing Marumo Gallants apart in a match where they dominated and showed how good they can be, they were humbled by defeat to league leaders Orlando Pirates, followed by another loss to Gallants a week later, losing 2-4 on penalties, and bowing out of the Telkom Knockout Cup in the semi-finals.

Heading into the TS Galaxy fixture, Mngqithi was determined to rediscover the winning feeling, and although they controlled large portions of this fixture, defensive lapses led to defeat. In the final game of 2025, Arrows faced city rivals AmaZulu and again controlled proceedings but failed to find the breakthrough in a fixture that would be decided by a moment of brilliance, which fell to AmaZulu, leaving Abafana Bes’thende in disbelief with three defeats in four league games. Now with Chiefs the first game back, Arrows will be eager to frustrate Amakhosi and upset the odds on the day.

Key Players To Watch

  • Nduduzo Sibiya: Sibiya blends loyalty, technical ability, and willingness to give everything for the club, which has made him a fan favourite for Arrows. Whether coming off the bench to spark the attack or starting, he’s always someone who embodies Abafana Bes’thende’s fighting spirit.
  • Sede Junior Dion: Dion is a classic, physical forward who has quickly become one of the most influential players for Arrows. He brings momentum with excitement to the frontline every game, and the fact that he hit form quickly after joining the club reflects his genuine attacking threat.
  • Siyanda Mthanti: Mthanti continues to impress and has received high praise from Mngqithi for his steady growth in the game. His evolution has shown a player growing in confidence and influence, contributing regularly to both goals and assists, making him a constant threat in the final third.

Golden Arrows Team News

Golden Arrows come into this fixture fully fit and with no injury concerns to their squad.

Value Bets

This match presents an ideal opportunity for online betting enthusiasts to put their strategy into action and maximize potential returns.

  1. Half Time/Full Time (Draw/Kaizer Chiefs): These teams often feel each other out in the first half, leading to cautious play, but as the game opens up, Chiefs have the quality to come away victorious. 11/10 with SupaBets.

  2. Last Goal (Golden Arrows): Arrows’ late-game approach and counter-attacking threat make this a strong value pick. 17/10 with Betfred.

  3. Anytime Goal Scorer (Sede Junior Dion): Junior Dion has a knack for being in the right place at the right time and has been clinical for Arrows when opportunities present themselves. 15/10 with Hollywoodbets.

Prediction: Kaizer Chiefs to Win

Kaizer Chiefs don’t need to dominate statistically to win this match. Their superior squad depth, midfield control, attacking flexibility, and game management give them the tools to edge a disciplined but limited Golden Arrows side. In a match likely to be decided by fine margins, Amakhosi are better equipped to seize the decisive moment.
