Since the beginning of the year, the topic of the futures of the two Kaizer Chiefs frontline goalkeepers, Brandon Peterson and Bruce Bvuma, has been on every football fan's feed on social media, as many wonder which way Chiefs would go.
Brandon Peterson
SportsBoom.co.za understands that Brandon Peterson's future in Naturena is set in stone, with Chiefs retaining Peterson for another year upon the conclusion of the season, as his contract was set to end on June 30th.
For many, Peterson's retention has been a no-brainer, considering the leadership qualities he brings forth and the sheer impeccable form he has shown as the number-one shot stopper.
As a result, Peterson has taken the armband, taking on one of the country's hardest jobs, captaining Kaizer Chiefs, especially given the tough season the Soweto Giants are having.
Bruce Bvuma
While a call on Peterson's career at Chiefs has been made, Bruce Bvuma's still lingers in the unknown.
Bvuma's contract is also set to end in June 2026, and SportsBoom understands that the management at Chiefs could be leaning towards bringing in fresh faces in Naturena.
This could mean Bvuma's career at Chiefs is hanging by a thread. However, he is not the only one, as Bontle Molefe, who is currently on loan at Leicesterford City FC until the end of the ongoing season, and Fiacre Ntwari could also face the same fate.
Imminent Spring Cleaning in Naturena
This goes beyond the goalkeeping position, but also focuses on the entire Kaizer Chiefs environment.
From coaches to players on the field, no one is safe, as an imminent Naturena spring cleaning looms large.
Star players Gaston Sirino and Khanyisa Mayo, to name a few, could also face an axe, as the cries for the return of the glory days at Chiefs from fans seem to have finally been heard by the men and women in suits at Naturena.
