The Super Kings have had the upper hand so far with three wins from the five times they’ve played each other, with just one win for the Sunrisers and an abandoned match in there, too. Interestingly, the veteran has had more of an impact as a bowler than as a batsman so far this season, bowling plenty of overs and taking important wickets, adding real balance to the team. But his batting is there if they need it and sooner or later, he’ll have an impact with the bat, as well.

Tahir was left out for the first couple of matches, but the Super Kings management obviously realised his worth and brought him back. Since then, Tahir has carried on doing his thing by bowling aggressive lines with his leg spin and taking vital wickets.
