Leinster Current Form – WLWWW

Leinster’s current form has been incredibly impressive. They come into this game with just one loss from their last five games and it is important to mention that the loss was in a really tight Champions Cup semi-final against Northampton Saints.

Their depth and ability have been on display all season, often rotating their team and still registering impressive performances. This is a team with an incredible attacking ability and a solid defensive system as well – this is all heightened when they play at home, making it a rather difficult trip for Zebre.

Key Players to Watch

  • Dan Sheehan: The dynamic hooker has been instrumental for Leinster throughout this season. His consistency at set pieces is second to none and his mobility in open play make him a true example of the modern front row player.
  • James Lowe: He is a player known for his explosive pace and clinical finishing. He is always going to be a threat on the wing and his physicality allows him to break tackles and create opportunities that are difficult to contain.
  • Ross Byrne: As the team’s primary playmaker, his game management and accurate kicking have been pivotal to Leinster’s success all season. He is a leader on and off the field and he will no doubt play a crucial role here once again.

Zebre Current Form – LLLWL

Zebre have had a season of highs and lows thus far. For many, their standout performance came in their win over Munster, marking their first-ever victory against the Irish side.

The issue, however, is their inconsistency and inability to maintain a certain level of performance. It is going to be a difficult ask to see them match up to Leinster’s physicality here, but if they play with freedom and expression, they might put their hosts under a little pressure early on.

Key Players to Watch

  • Jacopo Trulla: He has been a versatile option for Zebre, bringing creativity and flair to their attack. He is often an unknown option and that makes defending against him incredibly difficult. Keep an eye on him here.
  • Giovanni Montemauri: The fly-half for the visitors will likely look to keep the game rather static and controlled in Dublin. As soon as it opens up, Leinster will be favourite to take full advantage. He could very well be where the game is won or lost on the weekend.
  • Luca Bigi: Another experienced player at the heart of the scrum. Bigi is a player with tremendous leadership and physical stability. His patience and calmness at set piece time could prove vital for the visitors, but so to will his scrummaging.

Suggested Bets

  1. Total Points (Over 50.5): These two teams have shown serious attacking capabilities, but in truth, the attacking aspects of Leinster against the defensive instability of Zebre suggest a bit of a bloodbath. 10/11 (1.91) with Betway.

  2. Leinster to Win Both Halves: Their consistency suggest they could dominate and simply have too much for their hosts here. 8/11 (1.73) with Hollywoodbets.

Value Bets

  1. Leinster to Win by 21-30: The hosts continue to show unbridled dominance, and we think they come away as big winners here. 5/2 (3.5) with Supabets.

  2. James Lowe (First Try Scorer): He has shown time and again that he has a knack for early tries, back him to open the scoring here. 7/1 (8.0) with 10Bet.

Prediction: Leinster to Win

There won’t be too many plaudits for picking this one correctly, but Leinster win this game without question. They are simply too strong and have quality all over the pitch. We can’t see past the home win, especially when against a side who have struggled to keep a defensive shape.

If you're looking to back the obvious outcome, this could be a good chance to do so through a betting site with welcome bonus, adding some extra value to a likely Leinster win.
