SportsBoom.co.za has learned that Proteas wicket-keeper batter Sinethemba Qeshile is finalising a move up country to join the country's most decorated domestic team, the Titans.
Since matriculating from Hudson Park in East London, Qeshile has spent most of his professional career down in the Eastern Cape, with the youngster making his professional debut for Border in 2018.
Because of his record during his South Africa Under-19 days, and also his impressive start to professional cricket, the youngster would soon earn his maiden franchise contract with the Warriors down at St George's Park in Gqeberha.
He would smash a famous maiden List A century against the Lions at Buffalo Park in East London, setting his career up for success and cementing his position with the Warriors side.
The youngster would go on to be a vital cog in the Warriors' side, playing alongside the likes of Matthew Breetzke and Lutho Sipamla, to name a few.
Next Chapter: Titans
Upon the end of the ongoing season, after playing an important part in the Warriors' playing in two of three finals this season, SportsBoom.co.za has learned that Qeshile will move up country to SuperSport Park in Centurion.
For a player who has made a name for himself as one of the household names in domestic cricket, Qeshile is an anomaly, as most Eastern Cape-born players tend to move out of the province quite early in their careers.
However, Qeshile spent almost a decade playing in his home province, a feat that is impressive given the lucrative opportunities a player of his calibre has playing for any of the two Highveld domestic teams.
Recently, Qeshile has been awarded his maiden One Day International Cap against Pakistan towards the end of 2025, with Proteas head coach Shukri Conrad awarding the youngster for his stellar performances in the South Africa A team.
With the signing of Qeshile, the Titans, having had a relatively dismal season, have bolstered their squad with a quality wicket-keeper batter who will thrive in the Highveld conditions.
